Become a Breakfast Champion for our December 2nd Event!
Event Summary
This is a special time when our current and potential donors, and partners get to spend time virtually with the children, women, and other beneficiaries of our community in the Ivory Coast and here in the Palo Alto area.
This year, there will be small group gatherings with Breakfast Champions and we will all meet via Zoom!
What is a Breakfast Champion?
Breakfast Champions are long-time friends and supporters as well as new enthusiasts of the KSP’s mission who will be hosting small COVID-safe gatherings at their houses or hosting their friends at a table at the Woodside Village Church Courtyard.
Champions will receive a Sunshine Breakfast Basket filled with authentic tropical breakfast staple items to share with their guests!
What do I need to do to be a Champion?
Champions have to sign up before Friday, Nov 26, 2021
Upon signing up, you will receive a confirmation email with steps to follow.
You also will need a good laptop to screen the event. If you have a projector we suggest that you set it up to enhance your guests’ experience.
Is there a cost for being a Champion?
Yes! A Breakfast Champion is required to cover the cost of their Sunshine Basket cost of $150 for 10 people.
After Signing up, you will receive the Venmo or PayPal Link to make the payment directly to the bakery!
We will deliver your Sunshine Basket to you the day before the event if your address is anywhere between Sunnyvale and Burlingame. If you are outside of this area, and you would like to be a Champion, please text Evelyne Keomian at: (510) 228-9981.
What comes in the Sunshine Basket?
The Sunshine Breakfast aims to transport us to a tropical destination with special Brazilian pastries such as but not limited to Brazilian Cheese Bread, Coconut Morning Rolls, Banana or Lemon Bundt Cake, and more. Baskets will have enough to feed 10 people for you and your guests to enjoy during the event.
Gluten-free baked goods will be available upon request.
Will My Basket Come With Coffee?
No. Due to the early start time of the event, the Breakfast basket will be delivered the night before and it will not include coffee.
Will My Basket Come With Fruits?
Yes! Breakfast baskets will come with 2 different fruits that do not need to be stored in the fridge. We encourage you to purchase extra fruits and other breakfast staples that you think your guests would enjoy!
Will Breakfast Champions be on Camera?
This event will be hosted on Zoom using the Webinar option. Our Breakfast Champions will be added as “Speakers” to the event. This is so that children in the Ivory Coast can view them. We will also show their screens during transitions to include them and their guests in the live experience.
No need to speak or unmute yourself. All you need is to place your laptop in a place where you can have a glimpse of what is going on around you.
Will the KSP be sending people to my house?
No. The KSP will not be inviting people for you and/or sending people to your house. This experience is completely for you and people you know and are comfortable interacting with during this pandemic.
You are free to set and communicate COVID guidelines rules that apply to your household with your guests.
For those who would like to come to Woodside Village Courtyard:
Do we have to pay extra to be there?
No. The KSP is happy to offer these options to those who would like to be with friends and enjoy this event in an outdoor space and cannot do it in their own homes.
What to expect
We will set up a round table with up to 10 chairs, gala-style, for you and your guests. Tables will be 6 feet apart to respect COVID-19 regulations. If you have more than 10 guests let us know and we will set up your tables near each other.
Will there be catering services?
No. We will deliver your Sunshine Basket to you the evening before the event if your address is anywhere between Sunnyvale and Burlingame. If you are outside of this area, and you would like to be a Champion, please text Evelyne Keomian at: (510) 228-9981.
It will be your responsibility to bring your Sunshine Baskets with you in the morning. Your name will be at the table so you will know where to sit with your guests.
Will there be laptops for us to use?
No. Please bring your own laptop and you can connect to the Coffee Shop’s Internet
Note:
Woodside Church Village has an Award-Winning Coffee Bar. You and your guest can order great coffee once you arrive.
The Woodside Village Church does not require proof of vaccination to be on their campus but you do need a mask.
It’s your responsibility to impose vaccination verification on your guests if you choose to do so. After all, they will be seating with you.
Final Note:
What do you need to host a great breakfast experience?
You! Your friends and family members! A good laptop and great internet connection!
We suggest you have speakers that can connect to your computer for a better sound experience. And as mentioned above, if you have a projector bring it on!
We believe that these items will help enhance your guests’ experience but they are by no means a requirement. You will do just fine with a computer that can connect to Zoom et Voila!
